Cooler Weather

Well finally for us Professional Houston Wedding Photographers the weather is finally cooling down

It’s been a loooooooooong hot summer and plenty a bead of sweat has been shed, and not just by the Groom’s

Last weekend a beautiful Wedding was shot (Jen and Gabe) in League City, Houston, Texas.

I had shot Jen’s “Bridal” photographs months ago and the Big Day was finally here!

Jen and Gabe make such a wonderful couple and both are such a joy to work with and a pleasure to be around it really was a fun event!

Technology

In this day and age “communication” rules! We all seem to be so busy that keeping in touch and multi-tasking is now more the norm rather than exception.

Professional Photography is no different in this regard. Of course we are normal people with personal lives, but our clients are also part of our life. We understand your time is also precious, that regular contact is needed and that we need to provide the best service we possibly can for you.

This is where technology increasingly helps.

Not only do we use the latest “state of the art” cameras and computers, we also use the latest cellphone technology to keep ourselves “available” to you!

Recently both Jana and I upgraded our cellphone technology to the latest handsets. This means not only are we available for your calls but can receive our business emails whilst out and reply to them sooner. The latest handsets also allow us to multi-task with the Internet and website. Of course technology is moving at a fast rate but be assured that we intend to keep up with it also.

The new 3G handsets allow us the speed and connectivity that we feel you deserve.

These are exciting times and we want to assure you that we are Here for You and always will be. And we will continue to adapt and use any new tools and technology that will better serve YOU our clients!

Recently I shot an evening ceremony at;
St.Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church.
This is located on Buffalo Speedway in Houston Texas near the medical Center.
What a Gorgeous Church!
Although flash was forbidden (as is frequent in such venues) the lighting in the Church was beautiful!
The whole ceremony was very traditional and romantic and the images it offered were glorious!

Draig Weddings, who are they? :)

So who exactly ARE Draig Weddings and whats this Blog all about?

Well, Draig Weddings is the Wedding portion of Draig Photography. This is Nick and Jana, a husband and wife team of Professional Photographers located in the Conroe/Woodlands area of Houston Texas.

I, Nick, am originally from the United Kingdom. I moved to Texas approx. 7 years ago and have made it my home. I started photography at an early age out of curiosity and the art it entails. I was supported by my Engineer father and Artist mother. I was very involved in photography all through school and later took freelance work for local publications.
I became a professional Diver and later a Mini-Sub pilot, both of which still heavily utilised the imaging media. I also had a chance to work with the BBC.
I have much experience in the photographic fields of Event work, photojournalism, modelling/portraiture and Weddings.

Jana, my lovely wife, also started her photography addiction at an early age. First in high school (with a major role in yearbooks) and later in Professional labs right here in Houston Texas. She also ran a studio for some time. She accompanies me on most assignments and loves portraits and weddings as much as myself. Her technical background in Lab work is such a blessing and her eye for shots compliments mine.
We make a great Team!

So why this Blog?
Well, everyone has one nowadays don’t they? lol, just kidding. This is planned to be a “diary” if you will on our life and business. It will serve to help our clients both past and present and hopefully help some people understand a little more on what goes into Professional Photography. To see a little into “our” world. What things and circumstances can make a great photograph truly Spectacular! Also I hope to write some tips and advice, both for clients old/new/prospective and other Photographers out there.

Draig Weddings at last!!!!

Well, it’s been awhile coming but finally “Draig Weddings” are on their own That is we have a new custom website just for “Draig Weddings”.
Being Situated in Houston Texas we have had some pretty busy previous months. The weather no doubt played a part in some glorious Weddings this summer in Houston Texas. IKE did try and throw a spannerr in he works but no-one I have met has been too stressed by having to re-schedule their Wedding due to the storm!
Houston is now getting some much needed rain (and thankfully it’s getting cooler) but Houston Weddings continue in abundance and couples are still eargerly planning/awaiting their big day!

Here at Draig Weddings it’s business as usual. We are VERY excited about the NEW Website but are still working hard to make peoples special day an event to cherish the rest of their lives!
